How do I add an event to the Helping Calendar?

Members and Care Coordinators: 

Click on the Calendar tab

Click on Create Event tab or the plus sign "+" next to the date on the calendar.

Select the Type of Event (Your options are General help, Meals/Shopping, Doctor's appt, Visit, or Transportation) Click the radial button next to the one you want.

In the Event Details section, fill out all the information. If it is an all-day event or repeating event be sure to check the appropriate box

In the Volunteers Needed section, you can select the number of volunteers you need. Make sure you check the box next to "I need a maximum of  ____ volunteers to help out with this event". From the drop down menu select the number of volunteers needed.

In the Mail Options section, all boxes in the "Request Volunteers Now?" and in the "Send 48 Houe Reminder To:" are checked by default. Uncheck any boxes that don't apply to this event.

In the Privacy section, the All Guests button is selected by default. If you are entering an event that you want to keep private, check the box next to Owner and Care Coordinator. 

When you have finished entering all the information, click the Create Event button at the bottom of the page. Your event will be displayed on the calendar with a red raised hand under the event if you have asked for volunteers. The calendar event will also display on your Feed tab.


Guests cannot add events to a member's calendar. Guests can only sign up to help for events shown on the calendar when they are logged in.
