Where are my Profile Features?
When you are signed into your site, you will see your name with a down arrow next to it in the upper right hand corner . Clicking this arrow will display a drop down menu that contains Profile, Guests, Quote Settings, Create Keepsake, My Resources and Sign Out.
The main site navigation is in tabs and includes Feed, About Me, My Updates, Helping Calendar, Photos, Giving Angels and Learning Links.
What is the Feed tab?
The Feed tab is the page you land on when going to a website. This page contains a Latest Activity tab and Cancer Articles tab. It will show snippets from recent updates, new calendar items and new photo uploads.
What is the About Me tab?
The About Me tab is where you can write an introduction and post a photo. You can use this area to inform your family and friends about your diagnosis. The About Me tab displays information that was previously on the Welcome page.
What is the My Updates tab?
The My Updates tab is the page where a site owner or caregiver goes to post an update and a guest goes to post a message.
On this page there are two tabs:
My Updates: This is where site owners/caregivers post updates on health, treatment and anything else you want to share with family and friends. Anyone can comment on a post by clicking the LEAVE A COMMENT link at the bottom of the post. If someone likes the update they can click the “ribbon” icon below the message on the left to show support.
Guest Messages: This is where guests post messages for site owners. If someone likes the message they can click the “ribbon” icon below the message on the left to show support.
What is the Helping Calendar tab?
The Helping Calendar page has three tabs on the left:
Helping Calendar displays all events that have been created.
Create Event is where you or your care coordinator can add events to your helping calendar. You can also manage volunteer requests and event notifications. Events entered in the helping calendar will appear in Support My Cause. Go to Add an Event for detailed instructions on event set up.
Guest Permissions allows you to change the helping calendar event permission levels for guests. So if you don’t want a certain relative driving you places, you can limit their ability to view and sign up for those items. When they see the event it will simply state that no volunteers are needed.
The Helping Calendar page has two tabs on the right:
Patient Info shows the site owner’s name and address.
Legend contains all the icons that appear on the calendar with an explanation of each one.
What is the Photo tab?
In the Photo tab you will find your Photo Galleries.
To add pictures to a new gallery:
You can choose to organize your pictures by creating a photo gallery, naming it and adding a brief description. On this Photo Gallery cover the first picture loaded will be displayed for each gallery you have.
To add or view photos in a specific gallery:
Click on the gallery to add new photos or view the photos already there. You have the option to upload a picture or drag-and-drop a photo into the gallery.
What is the Giving Angels tab?
In the Giving Angels tab the page displayed contains three tabs:
Support Me gives you a place to display a Donate button to request direct financial assistance from family and friends via PayPal or GiveForward. There is also a Gift Registry button to link people to an Amazon Wish List or other retail site.
Support My Event gives you a place to let your family and friends know of upcoming events. Any events listed on your helping calendar will also be displayed here.
Support the Cause is where people can go to donate to mylifeline.org or any other non-profit organization you want to support.
What is the Learning Links tab?
Think of Learning Links like Pinterest for information. You can collect and keep interesting or informative content you find around the web and save it here for yourself and to inform friends and family. The Learning Links tab displays a page with three tabs:
My Learning Links are links you customize to include information about your specific cancer and treatments.
Create New Learning Links is where you set up the links you want displayed on the My Learning Links page.
Add Link from Library gives you the option to include links from a pre-selected library of helpful information. Each link contains a brief description of the information available.
