How do I join the online Discussion Forums?

Once you have registered an account with MyLifeLine, you can now join the online discussion forums to connect with others like you.

Please log in at: www.mylifeline.org/login with your email address and password. When you've successfully logged in, you will see your name in the upper right corner of the page. 

  1. Click the purple “Join an Online Discussion Forum” button. If you already have a Personal Network Site, your Dashboard will show a red button “Join the Discussion Forums.”
  2. Read the Discussion Forum Usage Terms, and if you agree, please check the box at the bottom and click the red “Join” button to proceed.
  3. Next, create a Username to be used on the boards, write a short bio (optional), and choose if you’d like to be included in private messaging with other board members. You can select one or more boards to join by clicking the board name under “Available” and seeing the board name move to the right box titled “Your Selection:”
  4. Finally, choose your Email Preferences and click the red “Submit Join Request” button to continue. Note: All board requests must be approved by MyLifeLine’s administrators, so you’ll see a confirmation when your request is received. Approvals are done within 24-hours of your request.
  5. Click “OK” and you’ll land on your Home Dashboard, the main control panel for MyLifeLine. You’ll see the Discussion Forums you’ve joined (highlighted in white below) as well as other features to check out … Cancer Support Community resources, blog posts, Helpline information, and more. You can enter the Discussion Forums by clicking on the board title, ex: “Coping With Side Effects.” After you’re approved for the forum, you can participate in the discussion by replying to posts or creating your own topics.
